SLIM provides a convenient way to view DICOM files anywhere anytime.
DICOM file is the most common medical imaging file format that is produced by medical imaging equipment such as X-ray or MRI imaging devices. It may contains a single-frame image or a series of images stored as multi-frames images data.
DICOM files also may contain embedded information about the patient, imaging time and date and names of physicians investigating the case.
There are no built-in image viewers for DICOM files that are already installed on PCs or portable devices operating systems.
To view DICOM files anywhere and anytime, SLIM is available online for this purpose as well as for other tasks that SLIM provides online for medical professionals.
From the main page, press convert DICOM button. Directed to DICOM page, upload your DICOM file.
If the DICOM file is single frame, a PNG file will be displayed with the medical image contained in the DICOM file.

If the DICOM file is single frame, a PNG file will be displayed with the medical image contained in the DICOM file.
Below the PNG image displayed on the a page, a hyper link with the text: “Save Image” is displayed, you can save the PNG file to your portable device or PC.
If the DICOM file is multi frames, a series of PNG images will be displayed like a filmstrip. Below each image of the series, “Save Image” hyper link is displayed so you can save one or more of the relevant frames which are of certain interest.
In case you want to read the information available in the DICOM file (if any), from the main page, press Read DICOM data button. The page will be directed to DICOM page, upload your DICOM file from there.
If any data available in the DICOM file, the data will be displayed on the page. You can send this text page to the printer by clicking the hyperlink with the text “Print”
